Questions

Which country has the highest death rate?

Bulgaria, with 15.3 deaths per 1,000 people in 2026, then Latvia (14.8), Serbia (14.3), Moldova (14.2).

Which country has the lowest death rate?

Qatar, with 1.0 deaths per 1,000 people, then United Arab Emirates (1.0), Kuwait (1.8), Oman (1.9). Young populations, often in the Gulf, have the lowest rates.

Why do rich countries have high death rates?
